ÝMIR GRÖNVOLD

Ýmir Grönvold (b. 1994) is a Reykjavík-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, drawing, and assemblage, often incorporating found materials. His work engages with diverse thematic territories, ranging from Tarot and spiritual exploration to landscapes and nuanced interpretations of nature.

Nature remains a central wellspring of inspiration—mountains, waterfalls, the ocean, wildlife, and plant life—translated through a distinctly personal and interpretive approach. Across previous exhibitions, Grönvold has investigated ideas of transformation and interconnectedness, with a particular focus on growth and movement as inherent forces within natural cycles.
